University of North Bengal Conducts first AICTE FDP in North Bengal

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 14th December, 2021: In the history of University of North Bengal, the first ever, AICTE sponsored ATAL-Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in Management had being conducted during 06-10th Dec 2021 by the Department of Management (M.B.A), University of North Bengal. Due to Covid 19 protocols the FDP in Management had being conducted in an online mode. The program was initially planned in an Offline mode during the month of September 2021 earlier, but due to the spread of Covid 19 second wave throughout the country, it was later shifted to December this year in an online mode. In the inaugural session Prof. Vinay Nagia, Former Professor & Head, Department of Management Studies, IIT-Roorkee addressed the august gathering. Participants i.e. the faculty members from various well known institutes throughout the country participated in this 5 day long FDP in Management with the likes of well known Speakers in the field of Management i.e. Prof. Satyajit Majumdar, Dean, TISS, Mumbai, Prof. Tathagata Bandyopadhyay, Former Dean (faculty), IIM Ahmedabad, Prof. Debabrata Mitra, University of North Bengal, Dr.Chetan Chittalkar, Director, MGNCRE,Govt of India, Dr. Mukkamala Kameshwar Rao, IIT Kharagpur, Dr. Amlan Ghosh, NIT Durgapur, Dr.Goutam Bandyopadhyay,NIT Durgapur, Dr. Dipanjan Moitra, University of North Bengal and Mr. Rohit Agarwal, Faculty & State In-charge of Art of Living. At the end of the program an online test of the participants was conducted for the purpose of individual evaluation in the FDP in Management. In the valedictory session of the FDP, Prof. Debika Saha, Professor  and Former Head, Department of Philosophy, University of North Bengal said that “Such a program initiated by the Department of Management, University of North Bengal is one of the milestones for the University of North Bengal to progress in the National Educational circuit. I do hope that the participants were highly benefited through the same and they would try to bring in the positive changes in their teaching pedagogy in their respective fields of study”. Sanmoy Mallick, the Head of the Department, Department of Management(M.B.A), University of North Bengal said “Such kind of successful initiative is going to make the Department of Management, University of North Bengal much more responsive in the days to come for conducting such programmes. I do want to thank our Honorable Vice Chancellor of University of North Bengal, Prof. Subires Bhattacharyya for the support he had given to us to conduct this prestigious program. Furthermore, I would also like to thank Prof. Pranab Ghosh, Registrar (Officiating), University of North Bengal, Prof. Rathin Bandyopadhyay, Dean, Post Graduate Faculty Council for Arts, Commerce and Law, University of North Bengal for their continuous and overall support in this regard. I also would like to thank Prof. Sanchari Roy Mukherjee, Honorable Vice Chancellor, Dakshin Dinajpur University and Raiganj University (Additional Charge) for giving us the overall motivation.”
