Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 14th December, 2021: A Buyers and Seller meet took place for large cardamom in ‘Agrasen Bhawan’ in Siliguri last week. Top best seven buyers of North Bengal made their presence with utmost support by Mr. Sanjay Tibrewal, Chairman North Bengal Council. Invitation over calls and messages been made to each single farmers of “Bijanbari and Sukhia Pokhari for their presence in the meet, Unlike, Mr. B.B. Mukya represented from Sukhia Pokhari and Mr. Kaijale Sanjeev from Bijanbari attended this meet. From face-to-face meet – Buyers mentioned their issue and concern were for payment bills where not been entertained and no bank payment. Sellers requested for up graded technique machine, farming aggregator. Proposal for FPO’s been requested to be implemented, cooperative society and proposal to open main Khalpara main Mandee for large cardamom. Mr. Sanjeev and Mr.Mukya (Sellers) requested for the nest “Buyer and Seller meet” where transportation Pick up and drop facility requested, where other large cardamom farmers can come down for next meet from Sittong, Bijanbari, Mirik and Sukhia Pokhari Buyers – want traditional format of smoky cardamom, since the demand and main consumption for large cardamom of smoky cardamom is extremely high across globe and nation.
