Elephant Rampage is a Regular Affair Everynight at Madarihat Block

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 31st August, 2017: Elephant goes on a rampage on almost every night at Madarihat block. News of elephant rampage comes from some corners of Madarihat Block. The people in this block are almost spending sleepless nights due to this. Yesterday also elephant resorted to rampage at Mahakalpara Sarai line and Baburam line. At least 6 residential homes were broken and a Junior High School at Joibirpara. The elephants had ate up one quintal of rice kept for mid day meal in the school. Ranger of Dalgaon Range Mr. Rajib Dey told that if the affected people are informing about the incident in details then the Forest Department will arrange for compensation. However, it is known that the compensation is much lesser than the damaged amount.
