Heavy Rains Paralyzing Life at Jamshedpur City at Jharkhand

Webdesk, TNI Jamshedpur, 14th July, 2017: Heavy rains lashed Jamshedpur city and the entire state of Jharkhand today raising high hopes for the farmers of the state for receiving bountiful monsoon this season. The Sonari Meteorological office informed TNI that the low pressure at the Bay of Bengal is the main cause of the rains in the state. It will continue for the next 24-48 hours or so. Jamshedpur city today received at least 20 mm of rainfall resulting in disruption of traffic and commuter harassment. The worst hit areas outskirts of the city were Jugsalai, Baghbera, Mango, Pardih and the adjoining areas. Even the internet connection got hit when the BSNL connection got a total disruption in some parts of the Jamshedpur city. The administration is feeling the hitch in the maintenance of such nonuniform rains in an around Jamshedpur city. However, according to an official “It’s a flood like situation and measures are taken to tackle it”.
