Namchi Hosted the ICAI Siliguri’s CA Refresher Course This Year

Webdesk, TNI Namchi, 20^th December, 2016: Siliguri Branch of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted a Three Day “Residential Refresher Course at Namchi, Sikkim “from 17^th to 19^th December, 2016. This was informed through a press release from ICAI Siliguri. The program was organized by CPE Committee, ICAI.  In the Seminar Top Most Tax Expert  CA. (Dr.) Girish Ahuja, CA. Sushil Kumar Goyal (Central Council Member, ICAI & Author), CA. Puneet Agarwal (Renowned Advocate & Speaker on GST), CA. Arijit Chakraborty  (Noted Expert on Accountancy) gave insights to Chartered Accountants from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Guwahati, Jammu, and various other parts of India about matters relating to Income Tax & GST. Renowned Expert CA. (Dr.) Girish Ahuja, who had come from Delhi, specially warned that the “Benami Property Act” has very strong implications and the Government will not spare people & organizations who have Benami Property since the Act has now been enacted.

He also advised that people who have missed upon IDS 2016 should take benefit of “Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, 2016 which has also come into force.  CA. Sushil Kumar Goyal & CA. Puneet Agarwal spoke at length of various provisions of GST. Apart from the presence of leading Experts the unique feature of the “Residential Course” was that the CA members had the great opportunity to interact and meet CA from all over the Country in a very peaceful location along with their families.
