GUWAHATI’S PRIME CABS FINED FOR RS. 50 K IN CHARGES OF BAD SERVICE
TNI News Service (TNS)
Webdesk, TNI Guwahati 25th June, 2016: The Kamrup district consumer disputes redressal forum has ordered Guwahati-based Radio Taxi service provider Prime Cabs to pay Rs. 49119 as compensation to Mr. Susanta Kundu for bad services offered to him. The amount had to be paid within 60 days from the day of order. The incident dates back in 2014 when Mr. Kundu booked a prime cab to reach the Guwahati airport but could not reach the airport in time despite free flow traffic. Ultimately he missed the flight. He then had to buy another ticket to Delhi. After he returned he several times complained his case to Prime Cabs but the authorities did not pay any attention to his complaint. He then filed a case in the Consumer’s forum against Prime Cab. The case took 1.5 years before the final order. Ultimately the district forum had ordered the authorities of Prime Cabs to compensate Mr. Kundu a sum of Rs. 49119. When contacted with Prime Cabs CEO Mr. Pallav Bagaria, he said that he is completely unaware of any such happenings.
