TREATED WATER HOPE FOR JALPAIGURIANS IN THE NEW YEAR

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 01st January, 2016: The new year is going to become a boon for the Jalpaigurians. Jalpaiguri Municipality has decided to launch the tender bidding process of establishing the water treatment plant for supplying treated water to the Jalpaiguri residents. The chairman of Jalpaiguri Municipality Mr. Mohan Bose today declared that the water from River Teesta would be treated in a plant to be constructed at Sukantanagar area of the town. The municipal body has already received Rs. 74 crore for making the plant. Apart from this 4 Flood Relief camp facility would also be developed at Sukantanagar area each having a capacity of 300 people. As far as the water treatment plant is concerned an external organization would be hired for construction it but it would be supervised by the Municipality Engineering Department.
