SJDA FELICITATES MERITORIOUS STUDENTS IN SILIGURI

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 7th June, 2015: SJDA today felicitated the meritorious students here in Dinobandhu Manch, Siliguri. A total of 3600 students of Siliguri Sub Division and Dabgram Fulbari assembly area who have cleared the Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, ICSE, ISC, CBSE in flying colours were felicitated by SJDA. In the occasion the delegates present were MIC NBDD Sri Gautam Deb, Renowned Economist Prof. Avirup Sarkar, the SJDA CEO Mrs. R. Bimla, Opposition Leader of SMC Mr. Nantu Paul, the chairman of Siliguri Primary School Council Dr. Mukul Kanti Ghosh and others. The programme started at around 12 pm. Flocks of students with their school uniform along with their parents and teachers reached the venue much before the scheduled time creating sudden rush in the area. This has forced the security personnel to close the road from Court More and near the dilapidated Bangio Shahitto Parishad Library. This has lead to frequent commotion between the pedestrians and the Civic Volunteers, who were on duty in the area.
