NOW ADDITIONAL CIRCUIT BENCH IN SILIGURI VERY SOON

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 7th June, 2015: Two more circuit benches of the State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission are going to come up at Siliguri and Asansol very soon. The decision of the Government of West Bengal has been declared by the State Consumer Affairs Minister Sadhan Pande last week. He also further said that another circuit bench would also come up in Kolkata soon. This has been taken to reduce the pressure on Kolkata and also to ensure speedy completion of the pending cases. The minister also clarified that his department had received 1.43 lakh complaints through 22 districts for covering all the districts, while the State Commission alone had received 23,509 complaints from the consumers until March 31 this year. Of these complaints, altogether 93,804 have been disposed off under 22districtst for and 19,700 complaints under State Commission during the period. Besides, Consumer Assistance Bureau would come up in each district to help the poor file complaints, he said replying to a supplementary.
