Webdesk, TNI Banarhat 25th August, 2021: A full grown leopard created tensions at Gendrapara Tea Estate of Dooars today evening. At around 7:30 pm today the Leopard was seen roaming in the Estate. The LWO Mr. Bishu Das captured the incident in his mobile phone. The tension mounted because the place of the Leopard spotting was very close to the Labour lines and the Garden Manager’s Bungalow of the Tea Estate. However, the LWO Mr. Das claimed that there is at least 3 Leopards roaming in the Tea Garden and those were spotted by the locals. Soon after the incident forest officials reached the spot and busted crackers to shun away the wild animals in the forest. Whether, those attempts were successful or not are yet to be ascertained. The Garden officials demanded that the Forest Department should lay a trap to catch hold of the Leopards.
