ICC, SWO, Liver Foundation and Forum for Humanity starts Free Covid Centre at Siliguri

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 31st May, 2021: Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) North Bengal Chapter with Siliguri Welfare Organisation, Liver Foundation and Forum for Humanity have jointly started a Free Covid Care Center at Tinbatti More in Siliguri to help the people in distress. The facility with 25 beds is functional from today ie. 31st May 2021, and has 24×7 Doctors and Paramedical Team, Beds with Oxygen Support, Medicines and Food and will be provided free of cost to patients. The facility was jointly inaugurated by Sri. Gautam Deb, Board of Administrator, Siliguri Municipal Corporation, Mr. S. Ponnambalam, DM, Darjeeling and Sri. Gaurav Sharma, Commissioner of Police, Siliguri along with other distinguished guests today. Sri. Gautam Deb after inauguration of the facility stated that this is a brave effort by ICC North Bengal and a good initiative to help the needy people of this region with free covid treatment. Sri. S.Ponnambalam and Sri Gaurav Sharma also appreciated the effort of the ICC North Bengal Chapter. The concept was formulated by Dr. Abhijeet Choudhary of Liver Foundation and supported by ICC North Bengal. This covid centre will help extremely needy people of this region. Sri. Nishant Mittal, Chairman of ICC North Bengal stated that members of ICC North Bengal chapter are committed to help the society and we have supported this initiative in all possible ways. This is a first of its kind initiative in North Bengal. He further added that treatment and facilities at the centre will be provided free of cost. It is starting with 25-bed facility, but the number of beds will be increased as per the need.
