Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 3rd March, 2018: Yesterday night it rained and because of the overnight rains and the pitch was wet, the SMKP conducted Super Division Cricket League match was delayed. In today’s match Agragami Sangha (AGS) took on arch rivals Bagha Jatin Athletic Club (BJAC) at the Chandmoni Cricket Ground. The toss was won by BJAC and they elected to field first. After a devastating start by the openers Rashed Hussain and Faiz Ahmed, the batting side put up a score of a mere 161 runs losing 5 wickets in 30 overs. The prominent run-getters were Ipu Saha (81) and Rashed Ahmed (32). In the second innings, BJAC started in a graceful manner with both openers i.e. Rajat Saha (33) and Raj Kamal Prasad (38) put up a decent score. However, after that, the collapse started. Ultimately, Bagha Jatin Athletic Club reached upto 160 runs losing 8 wickets, falling short of just 1 run of the Agragami score. Thus Agragami won by 1 run against their arch rival Bagha Jatin Athletic Club. It was just a nail-biting finish. Ipu Saha of Agragami Club was declared Man of the Match for his blistering 81 runs.
