Islampur General Library Inaugurated by Former Minister

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 01st September, 2017: On the occasion of the General Library Day yesterday, a Library in the name of Late TMC Leader of Islampur Mr. Gautam Gupta was inaugurated by the former Library Minister of West Bengal Mr. Abdul Karim Choudhury at Tapan Smriti Bhawan. Mr. Choudhury in his tenure as a Library Minister in West Bengal 31st August was considered as the General Library Day of the State. In this program, a cultural program was also organized that included songs, recitation etc. In this inauguration program, the dignitaries present apart from the former minister was the wife of Late Mr. Gautam Gupta, Islampur Block Congress Chairman Haji Muzaffar Hussain, Dramatist Mr. Shambhu Majumdar, Pathi Parshatha Byabshai Samiti Chairman Mr. Subhash Chakraborty and Upasham Voluntary Organization’s chairman, Mr. Subhendu Majumdar.
