60 years Old Man Accused of Rape Against a Child at Madarihat

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 24th August, 2017: On 14th August an Adivasi girl was allegedly raped by a hexagenerian man. The incident occurred at 9th Mile area of Falakata. Despite the written complaint, the accused is not been taken into custody by the police.
In protest of the non-arrest of the accused, the State Highway of Falakata-Madarihat was blocked by the local tribals. This had created traffic stranded condition on the road. The road blockade started from Morning 4 am. After getting the information a huge police force reached the spot. After the SDPO from Alipurduar reached the spot and gave the assurance to arrest the accused, the agitators lifted the blockade.
