Indo-Bangla Joint Inspection of the International Border Happened at Islampur Today

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 11th July, 2017: Today a high official and inspection team from Bangladesh visited Islampur Sub Division near the Indo-Bangla border to check the positions of the border pillars and their condition. Among them, Sheikh Abdul Ahaad, an officer from the Land Department of Bangladesh told TNI that this is an annual routine exercise to check the position of the border pillars and condition because those are subjected to various natural calamities, river erosion etc.

The team included Anwar Hossain, Rafikul Islam, A.K. M Shahabuddin, Md. Pervez Mian, Md. Ashraful Hossain and Mr. Abdul Ahaad himself. Among the Indian Team, there was the state Land Department Director Mr. Shekhar Dutta, Smt. Dona Choudhury, Mr. Surajit Chandra, Mr. Sudipta Sarkar etc. The joint inspection started after both the teams’ exchange gratitude from both sides.
