E-Rickshaws Making Life Hell for Traffic and Also the Passengers at Dakkin Dinajpur

Webdesk, TNI Balurghat, 2nd July, 2017: Due to the absence of proper rate chart, the passengers of E-Rickshaws of the entire Dakkin Dinajpur is suffering. This has led to many tussles among the E-Rickshaw drivers and the passengers. The E-Rickshaw drivers are demanding minimum Rs. 10-12 even Rs. 30 for a single ride from the passengers. The administration is also not seen to come for solutions. The three main towns of Dakkin Dinajpur i.e. Balurghat, Gangarampur, and Buniadpur are the most affected. The chairman of Gangarampur Municipality Mr. Prasanta Mitra told TNI “The E-Rickshaws are not having any license. We will soon come up with a proper rate chart and also licenses for E-Rickshaws”. The unscrupulous drivers are taking advantage of the situation and are making life hell for the traffic and also the passengers.
