Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri, 14th April, 2017: Meeting with the tourism minister Mr. Gautam Deb and the Land losers (contributors) in connection to the proposed four-lane road through Dhupguri came to yet another dead end today. For this reason, marking the land could not be done for the proposed four-lane road. The Bhumi Raksha Committee did not change their stand in the meeting.
The main proposal from the farmers was to construct a flyover or an over-way for saving the farming land. Some other views were to construct the four lanes on the existing road only. The views of the farmers were that if they are giving away the land by getting the compensation now. However, in the long run, their families will be in distress.
