Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 8th April, 2017: The NBU team was caught in a mess while they came under threats from the outsiders while they stopped examination malpractice by the examinees. The problem started while the external team from the university caught some students indulging in malpractice and suspended them on spot. The Islampur College authorities thus came under questions from the team. In reply, the college authorities tried to sideline stating inadequate infrastructure. A total of 48 examinees were suspended after being caught today. The college authorities said that the college has 20 teachers and 10 non-teaching staffs. However, the number of enrolled students is more than 11000. Apart from this, the numbers of classrooms are also less. In such a situation the invigilators find it difficult to control of the malpractices instigated by the external elements. The examining team member from NBU Dr. Bidyabati Agarwala told TNI that “We have found malpractices every year in this college and there are threats from the external people to stop us. This year also is no exception. We are trying to keep the examination process on”.
