Night Football Starts at Islampur from 16th April 2017

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 27th March, 2017: History is going to be created by Islampur Subdivisional Sports Association by unveiling the fixture of Islampur Night Football. The tournament titled Al Haaz Md Imazuddin Memorial Champions & Jiten Chandra Nandi Memorial Runner’s Up Trophy. Yesterday night a program was organized to unveil the fixture. The fixture was unveiled by the MLA from Goalpokhor cum the State Minister of Rural Development GOWB Mr. Golam Rabbani. The tournament is being considered as an International Standard as 8 teams from Kolkata, Nepal and North Bengal is going to participate in it. A special attraction is of Mohammedan Sporting Club of Kolkata and Jhapa IX FC from Nepal. The tournament starts from 16th April 2017. The finals will be held on 23rd April. A friendly Women’s football match will also be held on 22nd April. The other dignitaries present today in the program were the Municipal Chairman of Islampur Mr. Kanhaiyalal Agarwal, Member of Uttar Dinajpur Zilla Parishad Mr. Javed Akhtar. Former Indian Football captain Mr. Bhaichung Bhutia is also expected in the tournament.
