More than Lakhs of Foreign Pilgrims Celebrated Holi in Mayapur Today

Webdesk, TNI Mayapur, 12th March, 2017: In the Krishna Capital of the world i.e. Mayapur Dham of West Bengal today was marked as Gour Purnima. A difference with the other forms of Holi throughout the country is that, though the Holi is celebrated but without colors. Today Mayapur Dham witnessed a gathering of more than a lakh devotees and pilgrims from more than 100 countries and across continents. The pilgrims dressed in traditional dhoti and kurta chanted kirtans and songs dedicated to Lord Krishna. Prasad that included the modern day Pizza and the traditional anna bhog was offered to the deity after which were distributed to the devotees. Today was the 531st birth anniversary of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
