DSU Beat SFU in Siliguri Cricket by just 11 Runs

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 3rd March, 2017: In today’s Super Division Match SFU played with DSU at Chandmoni Cricket Ground at Uttorayon Siliguri. DSU won the toss and elected to Bat first. In the first innings, DSU scored 178 runs after losing 9 wickets in 41 overs. Opener Abhay Singh was the highest run getter for DSU. He scored 34 runs. In the chase to win SFU could only manage 167 runs, short of just 11 runs losing 7 wickets in 41 overs. Opener Dip Sarkar scored 30 runs and middle order batsman Dipjyoti Ghosh scored 34. However, their effort could not save SFU from defeat. Noted Coach of North Bengal Jayanta Bhowmik given over the prizes to the cricketers at the end of the game.
