MD IMAZUDDING KNOCK-OUT FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT STARTED AT GOALPOKHOR

Webdesk, TNI Goalpokhor, 3rd November, 2016: From today at Goalpokhor’s Lodhan High School ground the Hazi Md Imazuddin Memorial Knock Out tournament started. A total of 7 teams are participating in the tournament. In the inaugural match, Purulia Green Grameen Club from Chakulia played with Verosthan Boys Sporting club. However, the no goals could be scored by any of the clubs during the full time of the match. At the end thus in a tie-breaker shootout, Verosthan Boys Sporting club won the match by 5-3 goals against the Chakulia club. Earlier the inauguration was done by kicking a football by the deputy chairman of Goalpokhor Gram Panchayat Samiti and the son of Hazi Md Imazuddian Mr. Golam Rasul. The elder son of the Late Hazi Md Imazuddin is the MIS Panchayat and Rural Development, Goverment of West Bengal Mr. Golam Rabbani. This year the tournament is in its 4th year. The clubs participating in the tournament are Purulia Green Grameen Club from Chakulia, Verosthan Sporting Club, Nandhajhar Boyes Sporting Club, Sidhu Kanu Boys Sporting Club, Tutikata Boys Sporting Club, Sukor Boys Sporting Club and Poravita (Hooghly) Boys Sporting club.
