SHRUTINANDAN CELEBRATED 50TH TUESDAY CONCERT AT RABINDRA SADAN, KOLKATA

Webdesk, TNI Kolkata 15th June, 2016: Yesterday the Music Kingdom Shrutinandan celebrated their 50th ‘Tuesday Concert’ at Rabindra Sadan Kolkata. They have planned the program to encourage the students of the institution by giving them the platform to perform in front of a large audience. Every second Tuesday of every month, Shrutinandan organizes a musical concert at Guru Gyan Prakash Ghosh Sanctum. The tradition is continuing from the year 2014. The programme started with Guru Vandana by Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty.  There were 12 talented students who participated in the concert.  Among them, there was Master Anubhav Khamru, Master Deborshee Bhattacharjee (he happens to be an ITC scholar and was also selected as an artist of Biswa Banga Sammelan 2016). The musical night was concluded with a performance of the noted singer Srikanta Acharya. He also discussed the importance of true pronunciation and expression in Bengali Song especially while performing Rabindra Sangeet. Lastly Principal Smt. Chandana Chakraborty addressed the audience about their institution.
