Webdesk, TNI Banarhat 6th June, 2016: Cities and towns of India is under tremendous pressure from air pollution. This was according to the data released by the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM). North Bengal is also no exception. Every year the increasing vehicles are continuously creating huge pollutions. Mostly, the cause goes on to the commercial and private vehicles plying throughout the region. However, when it is coming from Army vehicles, people won’t agree. There is a general belief that the all the army vehicles are well maintained. However, the reality is different. Localites often complain about polluting army vehicles especially in Dooars region, which is surrounded by army barracks. Today such a vehicle was spotted here in Dooars. An army vehicle bearing the registration number ↑04D157410w was spotted with such problem. The vehicle zoomed passed through the National Highway oozing out thick dark smoke polluting the entire area of greenery. Steps are needed against those vehicles in the process of curbing such problems.
