IGNOU RC SILIGURI CELEBRATED DR. A. P. J KALAM’S 84TH BIRTHDAY

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 15th October, 2015: IGNOU Regional Centre Siliguri celebrated the 84th Birthday of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Hon’ble Former President of India and Former Visitor of IGNOU as ‘International Students’ Day’ on today (15th October, 2015) at the Regional Centre premises. On this occasion, Dr. S.C. Das, former Joint Registrar, University of North Bengal was the ‘Chief Guest’ and Dr. T.K. Chatterjee, Former Registrar, University of North Bengal was the ‘Special Guest’. Both Dr. Das and Dr. Chatterjee spoke on various contributions of Dr. Kalam At the outset, Dr. Biswajit Bhowmik, Regional Director welcomed all the guests, students, Academic Counsellors, Coordinators, and Assistant Coordinators of IGNOU Study Centres. Mr. Somen Nag noted columnist was also present and spoke on contributions of Dr. Kalam. Dr. Pravin Pralayanakr, Assistant. Regional Director, IGNOU proposed the vote of thanks.
