Webdesk, TNI Bagdogra, 30th August, 2015: A 12 feet long python has been found yesterday in Kestopur village near Upper Bagdogra. At around 11 AM when the rain was just stopped, few of the villagers found the snake. It was found in the bush adjacent to tea garden and forest. It was kept in the ground in front of Chowpukuria Junior Basic School. Villagers gathered to have a glimpse of the snake and to take photos. Few even touched the snake in thrill. However, villagers were aware enough to not beat the snake. Forest department was informed and after 3-4 hours it was handed over to the officials. According to villagers, the snake has eaten a duck few days back. However, villagers are concerned and scared of the possibilities of next such incident.
