TOP KLO LEADERS ARRESTED AT COOCHBEHAR DISTRICT

Webdesk, TNI Tufanganj, 27th August, 2015: Cooch Behar district police arrested two top KLO leaders in an operation carried out at Balakuthi area under Bakshirhaat Police station. The operation was carried out based on a secret tip-off to the police by a special police team of Coochbehar Police. Both of them were produced in the Tufanganj Court. The police have demanded a 15-day police custody for the arrested for detailed investigation to the court. The Police Super Mr. Rajesh Kumar Yadav told the press the name of the 2 people nabbed is Lal Singh Deka alias Hareswar Barman, is suspected to be the General Secretary.

The other person is the suspected Commandant in chief called Hiranya Roy alias Anath Roy. The police super also told the press that both the nabbed are the prime suspects in the Bajrapara Bridge Blast at Jalpaiguri and Chowpati Blast of Alipurduar. Both of them are the residents of Kokrajhar in Assam. It is also suspected that they have come at Balakhuti area for some new misadventures in North Bengal.
