FRESH THREAT ON 6 SOCIAL ACTIVISTS OF BANGLADESH ON FACEBOOK

Webdesk, TNI Dacca, 11th August, 2015: Charged up by the success and support by the fundamentalist groups of Bangladesh, the so called Al Qaeda’s wing in Bangladesh threatened six more Bangladeshi activists on social networking site Facebook, just after three days of killing of the secular blogger Niladri Chatterjee Niloy. After Niloy’s murder, 6 other Bangladeshi activists have been threatened by militants. As expected the activists are none other than the members of ‘Ganajagaran Mancha’ of Bangladesh. It is to be noted that the movement is demanding maximum penalty for those who committed war crimes during the 1971 Bangladesh freedom struggle and a ban on religion-based politics. The previously killed bloggers were also a part of this organization.

The Facebook Post of Ansar BD Account

The Facebook account ‘Ansar BD’, issued the threat on Monday with pictures of six men, which was reported by a leading Bangladesh daily. The threats were issued for Henry Swapan, Syed Mehdi Hasan, Syed Mehdi Hasan, sculptor Charu Tuhin, organizer Nazrul Biswas and Chhatra Union member Pritom Chowdhury. In accordance to the BD daily the message which wrote “Mashallah, we successfully start work in the division. There are three anti-Islamic poets & three organizer of blogger. They are the enemy of Islam. We should do what will our aim,” the Ansar BD post said. However, the authenticity and validity of the post is yet to be known.
