The team, which was formed on 2011 have further said that since the soil of Kolkata and its adjacent area are highly earthquake prone. According to the experts because the soil of Kolkata is full of silt hence the vibration stays in for a longer time period thereby ensuring heavy destruction. It has now become highly essential to review the future building plans of the huge structures of Kolkata by appropriate authorities.
