KAILASH SATYARTHI’S FOUNDATION TO START JOURNEY FROM ASSAM

Webdesk, TNI Guwahati, 22nd July, 2015: In a major development Assam is may become a part of a humanitarian mission. The Nobel Peace Prize winner Kailash Satyarthi yesterday declared that his newly launched foundation is set to begin its journey from Assam. Later it will spread throughout the country. The Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation or KSCF is mooted to set up rehabilitation and welfare fund targeting the safe repatriation and reintegration of trafficking and slavery victims. The roadmap is being developed currently. KSCF is targeting to mobilize Rs 1 crore from some potential donors, including corporate houses. The Assam State government too had been requested to contribute an amount. The foundation’s mission is to create, implement and advocate child-friendly policies. According to the sources the CM has assured of giving full-fledged support to the Nobel laureates’ mission.
