JALPAIGURI GIRL DIES IN KOLKATA IN MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

Webdesk, TNI Kolkata, 4th January, 2015: North Bengal girls Sumantika Banerjee from Jalpaiguri and Subarna Lama from Kurseong were recovered in an unconscious condition by Kolkata Police from their Paying guest house at 8, R. Kuli Lane. In accordance with the sources of Police, the parents of both the girls could not contact with the girls. They then contacted the Muchipara police and lodge a complaint. The Police immediately sprang up to action and reached the spot. Both of the girls were recovered from the in locked room after breaking the door. They were immediately rushed to the Calcutta Medical College & Hospital, where the doctor declared Sumantika as brought dead. On the other hand, the treatment of Subarna Lama started. Currently, the condition of Subarna is in a critical state. Prima facie reports suggesting that the cause of the death of Sumantika might be of food poisoning. Sumantika, who hails from Jalpaiguri is a student of Presidency University and Kurseong’s Subarna is working here in Kolkata. The body of Sumantika is sent into the morgue for viscera test and thereafter it will be sent for post-mortem analysis before it is handed over to the family members of the deceased.
