Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 2nd January, 2015: West Bengal State Handcrafts Expo is going on in full swing at the A.B.P.C Club Maidan of Jalpaiguri. North Bengal Development Minister, Mr. Goutam Deb has already been inaugurated the programme on 20.12.2014. This initiative has been taken by the Micro, Small and Medium Textiles Enterprises of West Bengal. Such initiative is really praiseworthy. It simply opens up the wide scope of having the public display of various kinds of creative arts from different parts of West Bengal. Interestingly, each stall is identified with the name of important hills or rivers, signifying that particular part of West Bengal. For example, the Darjeeling stall is addressed as “Kanchanjangha”, while the Burdwan stall is named as “Ajay”(the river). The wintry mood is simply brimming with the spirit of festive flavour and people are simply grasping that over-brimming enjoyment with joyous spirit. According to a reliable source, the expo is likely to continue till the day 5th of January, 2015.
