TNI News Service (TNS)
Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 28th July, 2015: Siliguri is reeling under tremendous heat. Unlike other years at this time when people could not come out due to heavy downpour at a stretch this year the situation is to some extent similar but for opposite reasons i.e. HEAT WAVE. Yesterday’s temperature was hovering around 36°C. People were seen sipping cold drinks or fruit juices throughout the day. Many were seen splashing faces with Coldwater. However, the good thing is that Power-cut has reduced a lot during this summer. While in the afternoon the sky was filled with rain clouds but people looked in dismay that rain didn’t happen. Met Office in Alipur, Kolkata declared that the same situation with prevailing for a day or two.
