Potato Demonstration by Farmer Clubs of Siliguri and Jalpaiguri at Kharibari

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri 29th March, 2018: A demonstration of 10 new processed variety of Potatoes was taken up at Kharibari under Siliguri Subdivision today. The program was conducted by the International Potato Center. At least 10 new processed potato varieties were under trial process at different fields of Jalpaiguri district and Siliguri Subdivision. It was known that 5 different farmers club fields from Jalpaiguri and Siliguri was selected as trial fields. One of the fields was at Kharibari. In the entire program, 40 different farmers’ clubs from Jalpaiguri and Siliguri participated. The program was carried out in the presence of Dr. M. S. Kadian, Scientist of International Potato Centre.
