Webdesk, TNI Kumargram, 4th March, 2018: Yet again elephants attacked the labor line quarters at Kumargram Block which is at a stone throw distance away from the Forest Department Office at Raidak. Walls of the quarters and the other areas are destroyed by the elephants and the food items like rice, atta, daal etc were eaten away by the tuskers. The laborers informed TNI that the illegal stone traffickers have dug pits at least 4-7 ft deep in the elephant corridors inside the forest. This has created problems for the elephants and they are now searching for new corridors. The attack is assumed to be an effect of such act of the tuskers.
