Banarhat Adarsha Pally Organizes Khunti Puja for this Year’s Durga Puja

Webdesk, TNI Banarhat, 28^th August, 2017: Yesterday a Khunti Puja was organized by Banarhat Adarshapally Sarbojonin Durga Puja Committee at Dooars for celebrating this years Durga Puja. After the Khunti Puja the construction of the Pandal started. Unlike the urban trend of the making theme pujas, Adarshapally Club prefers to have the traditional Durga Puja with Daker Sajer Pratima (Traditional Durga Idol), Cultural Programs, Sahitya Sabha, Puja Patrika (Puja Magazine), Puja Bhog distribution etc. based to traditional Bangaliyana (Bengali Culture) at the Shitalabari Puja Premises of Banarhat. The secretary of the Puja Committee Mr. Bikash Das told TNI that they prefer to celebrate to celebrate Bengali Culture along with Bengali literary culture. This is going to be done for welcoming Devi Durga Ma and saying good bye on Bisharjan. Every year the committee published the Puja Magazine named ‘Shefali Mallya”. The committee also decided to immerse Durga idol before 6 pm at the Diana Niranjan Ghat.
