Lions Club of Shivmandir Greater’s Maiden Diabetes Check Up Camp Organized at Shivmandir Today

Webdesk, TNI Siliguri, 27^th August, 2017: A Diabetic awareness and free Health Check Up Camp was organized by Lions Club of Shivmandir Greater under the aegis of LCI Shivmandir today at Siliguri B.Ed College’s community hall, as a part of the maiden social welfare and health consciousness generation campaign.

The camp was coordinated by the medical experts of Kins Diabetic, the sugar expert’s group. In the awareness program section, various medical experts in their presentation pinpointed that awareness is the best remedy to control this deadly diseases which have recently turned into an epidemic worldwide. With the ever growing statistics and concerns in mind, LCI of Shivmandir and LCI of Shivmandir Greater have vowed to take action through many such Diabetes programs in near future which will include awareness, education, prevention, detection, control, and research. The said camp participants were provided with free health checkups and advice of the renowned medical practitioner Dr. P. K. Agarwal to the diabetic detected patients. Above all these efforts were lauded by the residents of the locality, who praised and thanked the organizing Lions for devoting the camp for them and providing them with the basic education to curb the dreadful disease.
