Like Before Jalpaiguri Remains Under Water in This Monsoon Too

Webdesk, TNI Jalpaiguri, 12th August, 2017: Like the other towns and cities of North Bengal Jalpaiguri is also experiencing flooding of the town. Thousands of people under century old Municipality are affected by the flood waters. Almost all the wards of Jalpaiguri came under water today.
The main affected areas are Netajipara Nij Math, Paresh Mistry Colony, Hospital Para, Senpara, Dinbazar, Mahamayapara, Pandapara, Congresspara, Jayantipara, Tin No Gumti etc. Dinbazar is totally closed today due to water from Karala river entered its fish market and Vegetable Market.
This was informed by the Dinbazar Byabshayi Samiti Secretary Mr. Debu Choudhury. Flood water entered OPD, Medicine, Medicine Store etc. Departments of Jalpaiguri Sadar Hospital. Jalpaiguri Girls High School boundary wall collapsed yesterday night. There is no information as to when the water will subside from the town. The yellow alert has been given in Domohoni area.
