Confusion Among Voters About Dhupguri Municipal Election as Booths Go Under Water

Webdesk, TNI Dhupguri, 12th August, 2017: Almost all the wards under Dhupguri Municipality is under flood waters. Due to the continuous rains for the last 48 hours the Municipal wards i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 14, 15, 16 are completely gone under waters. The residents left their houses at night and had taken shelters in nearby high areas. More importantly, tomorrow there are elections in Dhupguri Municipality. Some of the Election booths were completely under water. In such a situation there is a situation of concern as to how the election can be conducted. Voters are saying that how can they go for voting when their house is completely submerged. The Election Booth No. 199/15 is turned out to be a mini swimming pool for the children.
