The program was organized at Kedarhat of Mathabhanga Block. It was earlier known that in these underdeveloped areas, the villagers from Joshimuli, Kalirhat and Kedarhat were suffering from various types of eye related problems.
The villagers had to travel at least 45 kms to do a simple eye check up i.e. at Mathabhanga Hospital. Today in this camp the eyes of 180 people were done. 22 people were found with some problems. On the other hand, Swarup Sewa Foundation told TNI that such type of program will be carried out by them throughout the year in the far-off villages of Mathabhanga and Mekhliganj block.
