Kanyashree Project Postponed for Municipal Elections at Dakkhin Dinajpur

Webdesk, TNI Balurghat, 18^th July, 2017: The Kanyashree Program was postponed due of the upcoming Municipality Elections in Dakkin Dinajpur district. Earlier, the district administration declared that on 25^th July the district will observe the day a Kanyashree Diwas. All the official letters were issued to the District Education Office also. However, according to the Election Commission sources, 13^th August was fixed as the day of election for Buniadpur Municipality. So, the district officials will be busy in election related matters and also the election code of conduct will come into implementation throughout the district. In this matter, the Data Manager of Kanyashree project under Dakkhin Dinajpur District Smt. Jayita Mitra told TNI that all the arrangements were done for observing the Kanyashree Day, however, the election date declaration led to postponing the date.
