Mentally Challenged Woman Climbed High Tension Tower to Sing Morning Raga at Raiganj

Webdesk, TNI Raiganj, 9^th July, 2017: Today at Rampur near Raiganj, this morning a mentally challenged woman climbed up a high tension tower and started singing. This has sparked a state of shock amongst the residents of Rampur. The people shouted at the woman to come down but all in vain. A resident of Rampur Mr. Purna Majumdar told TNI that the woman is recently seen in the village moving like a vagabond. She sometimes wanted to read a newspaper from him. After some time Mr. Majumdar himself tried to rescue the woman by showing the daily newspaper in his hand. It worked like a miracle and she immediately came down the tower to read it. Just when she came down she was overpowered by the fire brigade personnel who were waiting below. She was taken to the hospital by them. The tension subsided among the residents.
