Huge Chaos at Islampur Hospital Following Pregnant Women’s Death

Webdesk, TNI Islampur 1^st July, 2017: Today in a tragic incident of a death of a pregnant woman made Islampur Sub Divisional Hospital a place of war. It is alleged that the woman has died because of medical negligence. It is learned that the lady has also given birth to a baby before her death. Islampur police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. It is learned that Sahiba Khatun (22) wife of Zakir Hussain was admitted to the hospital with labor pains on Friday. Dr. Nikhil Chandra Bhakta had operated on the woman and she delivered a baby on Saturday. Later the condition of the woman deteriorated but the Doctor did not arrive.

Later she was declared dead. The relatives of the woman alleged that the doctor did not come on time and the ayas have taken hefty amount from them. On the other hand, the Hospital Super Dr. Narayan Midya told TNI that the allegation is completely baseless. The woman died not for pregnancy-related matters but for Pulmonary Embolism. She was having problems of breathlessness from the night. However, he agreed about the presence of Aya Highhandedness in the hospital. The IC informed that no arrests have been made but the situation is kept under vigil.
