Solid Waste Management Project Started at Dakkhin Dinajpur

Webdesk, TNI Balurghat 1st July, 2017: The SWM project was inaugurated at Ramkrishnapur No. 4 Gram Panchayat’s Dhadalpara Gram Sansad area yesterday. The Block administration thus moved ahead with the implementation of Nirmal Bangla mission by this SWM project. Yesterday at around 2:30 pm in the presence of DPRDO Mr. Soumya Sengupta, Panchayat Samiti Public Health Commissioner Mr. Subrata Murmu, Agriculture Commissioner Mr. Maqbul Hossain and others the inauguration of the SWE took place.
In the initial stage, it is stated that the waste of all the household of all the gram sansads under Ramkrishnapur Gram Panchayat will be collected from the red and green baskets given to the households by the waste carrying vans. These will be kept in a notified area. Later the organic wastes collected will be turned into organic manure and distributed to the agricultural farm. The Panchayat Pradhan Mr. Karnadeb Roy told TNI that they are very much happy in the outcome. All the household are being instructed not throw their waste materials anywhere in the area.
