Islampur Hospital in Tattering Condition in a Sudden non Informed Visit by the DM

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 29^th June, 2017: The District Magistrate today made a surprise visit at Islampur Sub Divisional Hospital and discovered the unprepared condition of the health services there. DM Ayesha Rani was rattled to see the situation and ordered the ordered the Superintendent to improve the situation within 7 days of the order. The visiting points of the District Magistrate are Emergency section, Maternity, Labor Room, OT, Male Ward, Female Ward etc. Interestingly, the Superintendent Dr. Narayan Middha was not present during her visit. However, she alone visited the wards. Later she called the Hospital Super. She visibly told the Super ‘Is this Hospital or something else. So much dirt and waste!! From this the ailments like Dengue, Kalazar can occur. What are you doing? She also visited the Sweeper Colony, saw the non-arranged bike stand and also saw that there are no security guards in the place. She also informed to suspend the agency if they security guards are not functioning. She also ordered the Super to talk with the SDO Mr. Thendup Sherpa about the same. She also said that she will be visiting the place after 7 days and want to see the changes. The DM expressed dissatisfaction to the press about the unhygienic condition of Islampur Sub-Divisional Hospital. Smt. Ayesha Rani also hinted that if the Hospital is transformed into a Super Speciality Hospital then the load of the Hospital will be reduced fast.
