Two People Dies As Tusker Went on Its Kill Run at Dhang Dhing Guri, Coochbehar [VIDEO]

Webdesk, TNI Coochbehar, 26th June, 2017: On Monday at Dhang Dhingguri Gram Panchayat two person were trampled to death by a full grown tusker. The names of the deceased are Upen Barman (50) and Mahendra Nath Roy (73). One person named Samir Roy (23) was also injured in the tusker attack. He is now admitted to Coochbehar’s MJN Hospital. It is reported that Upen Barman a resident of the adjacent Konamali Village went to a corn field and soon saw the lone tusker in front of him. Within no time the old man was repeatedly banged by the tusker in the ground. By hearing the cries of Upen Barman many people tried to shoo away the elephant but they were being chased by the elephant. In the run two other people were injured. When all of them were brought to the hospital, the doctors declared two of them brought dead. The forest officials rushed to the spot. The elephant fled towards Patkapara village. Initial reports say that the elephant went to the corn field for food.
