3 Lynched by Mob at Chopra Suspecting Cow Theft

Webdesk, TNI Chopra, 23rd, June, 2017: At least 3 people died by mob lynching in suspicion of Cow traffickers. Tension mounted here soon after. The dead included Samiruddin, Nazirul Hoque, and Naseer. All of them were the resident of Chopra Police Station area. The incident occurred during the night at Durgapur area under Chopra Police station in suspicion of cow theft. The bodies were sent for post-mortem at Islampur Hospital. From the are, a motorcycle and two bicycles were seized by the police. A police picket is also set up at Durgapur village. According to the villagers, the trio was caught while they loaded a pick up van with two cows from the area. The villagers caught the trio but the pickup van fled with the animals. However, the mother of the deceased Nazirul told TNI that the villagers have killed her son and so she have made an FIR against it. The SDPO Mr. Kumar Bhushan Singh told TNI that investigation has started soon the reality will come in front and the real culprits will be arrested.
