Crude Oil Theft at Panjipara Pipeline Yet Authorities Didn’t Track Abnormalities

Webdesk, TNI Panjipara, 10th June, 2017: A dreaded theft of crude oil is detected from Oil India Assam-Barauni occurred at Ladukhowa area under Goalpokhor PS on 8th May 2017. After getting the information engineers of Oil India Dhumdangi Division rushed to the spot for repairing works. Oil India authorities also filed a FIR under Panjipara Police Outpost. It is learned from Panjipara police that after getting a smell of crude oil from the nearby areas the police went for a patrol in the area and have found the spot from where the theft of crude oil was done.
They immediately informed the Oil India authorities. According to the Oil India authorities, theft has occurred from the spot. A few years ago such incident had occurred. In that case, an accident led to two oil thieves die with burn injuries. It is also learned that the quantity of oil sent from source is reported to the receiving station. Then how did the receiving station did not find any abnormalities while receiving less quantity of oil from the source? However, according to the SDPO Mr. Bhushan Singh, an investigation has started.
