Road Rally for Demand of Islampur Bypass Organized Today

Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 8th June, 2017: Today the common people of Islampur organized a rally at Islampur with the demand of Islampur Bypass road. The rally started from Islampur Bus Stand and went through NH 31, Sri Krishnapally and ended at Islampur Milanpally. Many people from various political parties and communities joined the rally. The presence of women in the rally was huge. It is to be noted that in the year 2004 the project of the Islampur bypass started but in this year of 2017 yet the work of the bypass could not be started still. The adversity is being faced by the people of Islampur because NH 31 passes through the town and is creating road accidents almost regularly. Academicians Mr. Babulal Maitra and Mr. Raj Sahani told TNI that “We don’t want any more life loss at NH 31 so we have organized this demand rally. We are expecting that the administration should take immediate measures to start the work of the bypass.”
