World Environment Day Was Celebrated at Falakata Today

Webdesk, TNI Falakata, 5th June, 2017: In the occasion of World Environment Day today the Panchabati Utsab was celebrated by Falakata Purohit Kalyan Manch and Bongio Ayurvedio Maha Sangha today. In this day at least 5 types of medicinal plants were planted i.e. Gooseberry (Amloki), Ink Nut (Horitoki), Baheda (Bohera), Neem, Chastetree (Nishunda) etc. From the program, the speakers also addressed the crowd to stop using plastic, thermocol items for stopping environment damage. Apart from this the Poschim Banga Vigyan Mancha also organized the World Environment Day at Falakata New Chowpatty. Jateshwar Progressive Students Union organized a rally on this occasion at Jateshwar. They also planted 100 saplings in this occasion. In this program, various speakers including Environmentalist Dr. Prabir Roy spoke about the environment and the role of trees in saving the environment. The meritorious student of Madhyamik and Higher Secondary were also felicitated on this occasion.
